13,000 HP Compression Station
Enerflex was required to provide a solution that delivers fuel gas to a large power generating facility. The project required a 13,000 HP pipeline booster station to be constructed in a remote and challenging location in rural Brazil. Geographical constraints required the compressor station to be situated on a hilltop, requiring a considerable amount of grading to create a suitable space for the facility.
Outcome
Enerflex provided an integrated solution that included three 4,500 HP compression packages. This included the full civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering, design, installation, and commissioning onsite. The project was delivered on-time and on-budget in 210 days from purchase order to plant acceptance.

3,500 PSIG Acid Gas Injection Compressor and Pump Package
Enerflex installed a 1,600 HP electric-drive motor to power a six-throw, five-stage, extremely high sour acid gas Ariel JGK frame compressor. The package included an on-skid LEWA pump on discharge for down-hole liquid injection. All piping and vessels were built from stainless steel for durability.
The technical specifications included 85% H2S acid gas service condensing on fifth-stage final discharge, with a 300 HP on-skid LEWA G3R diaphragm injection pump.
Outcome
At 85%, Enerflex achieved its highest percentage of H2S with this unit, which has an on-skid discharge injection pump installed inside the compressor building for liquid injection into the well.
